Insurance Continuity Rule
Continuous insurance coverage with Shikhar Insurance is mandatory for warranty validity.
1. Year 1
Insurance through Shikar Insurance.
2. Subsequent Years
Customer must Continue insurance with Shikar Insurance for total Warranty Period
- If insurance is changed, extended warranty will be terminated.
What is not included in warranty
Manipulation of any kind of the odometer or tachograph.
Caused by failure to report defects immediately and not making the vehicle available.
For repairs caused by non-compliance with Dongfeng’s Operator’s Manual.
Costs of rectifying material defects on radios, wireless systems, electronic accessories, unless the same were installed ex-works by MAW Vriddhi.
Repair conducted by using parts not manufactured by Dongfeng and causing other faults from it.
Indirect costs incurred in connection with a case of damage will not be recognized and reimbursed. Examples are cost of accommodation, loss of freight business, contractual penalties.
Costs of repairs in workshop not authorized by MAW Vriddhi, cost of oils and other fluids not necessitated by the damage itself.
Maintenance or repair conducted in unauthorized repair workshop.
Wrong charging or damaged vehicle due to improper power connection.
All consumables and parts which are of maintenance or wear and tear nature:
- Brake shoe, Brake Pad
- Wiper Blade, Windscreen, All vehicle Glasses, Bulb, Fuse
- Various kinds of Filter Elements
- Brake Fluid, Lubricating Grease, Coolant, Battery Electrolyte, A/C refrigerant
Accident, i.e. direct and sudden external physical force acting upon a part or the vehicle.
Willful or malicious acts, fire or explosion.
Force majeure, road conditions, improper handling of the vehicle, or weather conditions.
Participation in any event of a competitive or racing nature or associated with driving practice.
Use of unsuitable fluids (e.g., lubricants, coolant).
Changes to vehicle’s original design or the installation of third-party parts and accessories not approved by MAW Vriddhi.

Q1. Is this warranty automatic?
Your Nammi comes with dongfeng’s original warranty. Extended warranty is available through MAW Vriddhi’s program via Shikhar Insurance, subject to eligibility and terms.
Q2. What does “11 years/ 2,50,000 Km” apply to?
It applies to Battery and Motor.
Q3. Can I buy Extended Warranty without insurance?
No. Extended Warranty is issued only along with Shikhar Insurance’s Comprehensive Motor Policy.
Q4. What happens if I change my insurance company?
If insurance is changed from Shikhar Insurance, extended warranty will be terminated.
Q5. I have a 2024 model year Nammi insured elsewhere. Can I join?
Yes, in many cases – you can purchase extended warranty at the time of renewal, when Shikhar renews your Comprehensive Motor Policy. Additional premium for past years will apply.
Q6. What is not covered?
Accidents, wear & tear/consumables, unauthorized modifications, unauthorized repairs, misuse, and other exclusions apply.
Q7. How do I claim?
Visit an Authorized Service Center. The vehicle will be inspected and processed as per program terms with required documentation.
